New publication for walking enthusiasts

Multifaceted walks through the “Miselerland”

For all those ramblers eagerly awaiting a golden autumn, the map set entitled “400 km of circular walking routes on the Luxembourg Moselle”, featuring over 50 “auto-pédestre”, local and thematic routes through the “Miselerland”, has just hit the shelves.
The Luxembourg Moselle has long been renowned for its tourist promotion and hospitality. It is therefore not all that surprising that the region’s tourism authorities promptly responded to increasing requests made by visitors for updated and informative walking maps through the “Miselerland”. Together with LEADER+ Miselerland and in conjunction with publishing house Guy Binsfeld, the Entente Touristique de la Moselle Luxembourgeoise asbl thus went about fulfilling its visitors’ wishes without delay. The outcome of this initiative is a map set entitled “400 km of circular walking routes on the Luxembourg Moselle”. The set consists of three walking maps contained in a practical plastic cover sealed by a push button and outlines over 50 walks adding up to a total of 400 km, through the regions of Machtum – Wasserbillig, Stadtbredimus – Ahn and Schengen – Ehnen. In addition to the easily understandable maps provided by the Luxembourg land register office on a scale of 1:20,000, the extremely user-friendly set also includes tourist recommendations in three languages (German, English, French) regarding interesting sites, infrastructure, accommodation and leisure options in each locality along the walking route. And it goes without saying – this being a must for a walking map through the “Miselerland”, after all – that in each case one of the easily interpretable pictograms provides information on where wine cellars are located, at which the weary rambler can stop off upon completion of the walk.
The “400 km of circular walking routes on the Luxembourg Moselle” map set thus leaves nothing to be desired. Clearly drawn routes link perfectly to the information contained on the back of the maps regarding interesting facts and information on the Moselle region. An essential guide for all those visitors to the Grand Duchy, who want to become acquainted with this popular destination for the first time. And an invaluable companion for those who always enjoy returning to the “Miselerland”.
